The Contract Said No Strings Attached (Charlotte) novel Chapter 92

Holy crap, is that an actual angel I’m seeing?

Talk about searching high and low only to stumble right onto her—without even trying!

Fitch had been racking his brains and getting nowhere, and yet here Jonas was, running straight into the one person everyone was looking for.

A sharp squeal cut through the air as tires scraped against the pavement.

Jonas pulled over, practically buzzing with excitement. He rubbed his hands together and hopped out of the car, striding purposefully toward the graceful figure ahead.

Rebecca was just about to take a step when someone suddenly dashed up to her. “Hey, gorgeous! What a coincidence—fancy running into you again.”

The moment Rebecca saw that shock of blue hair, she recognized him.

Jonas?

For a second, Jonas scratched his head, only just realizing he’d already met this angel before. But she hadn’t known him at all. He looked a little sheepish as he hurried to introduce himself. “Uh, let me start over. My name’s Jonas.”

As he spoke, Jonas handed her his business card.

“Miss, you really stand out from the crowd. Honestly, you’re the only one who caught my eye on this whole street. I’d like to hire you as my personal assistant—the face of Frost Group. How about giving it some thought?”

Rebecca arched an eyebrow, a flicker of confusion passing through her eyes. “Assistant?”

Jonas flashed a confident smile. “That’s right. I don’t know what you do for a living right now, but I’m willing to pay you ten times your current salary—money’s not an issue. If you’re willing to work with me, I’ll make sure you’re more than taken care of.”

Rebecca was about to respond, but Jonas cut her off again, eager to press his case. “No experience? Doesn’t matter. You can learn on the job. What really matters is your presence and potential—those can’t be taught. I promise, at my company, you’ll have room to grow and shine.”

Sensing her hesitation, Jonas pressed on before she could politely decline. “At least don’t say no just yet. Why don’t you come by the office, take a look around, see for yourself? I’m sure you’ll love the environment and the team—I’ll make sure everything’s easy for you. And the salary and benefits? I guarantee you’ll be happy.”

As he left, he still managed to turn and shout over his shoulder, “Don’t forget to call me, beautiful! I’ll be waiting!”

His voice echoed in the air, drawing curious glances from the bystanders.

Rebecca’s face remained composed, but inwardly she couldn’t help but feel bewildered by Jonas’s over-the-top enthusiasm.

Isabella nudged Rebecca’s arm, eyes wide with disbelief. “Rebecca, you actually took his card? That was such a lame pickup attempt—can’t you see he’s totally hitting on you? Don’t tell me you’re actually interested in that blue-haired guy?”

Rebecca shook her head, frowning. “He’s Dylan’s cousin.”

“What?”

Isabella’s jaw dropped. “Cousin?”
