The Contract Said No Strings Attached (Charlotte) novel Chapter 494

Rebecca’s eyes were full of embarrassment and apology—she hadn’t meant to stumble upon what Dylan was browsing, and now all she wanted was to disappear.

“I’m so sorry, I’ll just go…”

She quickly handed over the coffee and turned to leave, hoping to escape the awkwardness.

But as fate would have it, her hand trembled. The cup slipped, and with a sharp splatter, black coffee spilled everywhere—right down the front of Dylan’s shirt and suit pants.

Rebecca’s eyes went wide. She froze, holding her breath.

Dylan shot to his feet, his face darkening with a stormy mix of anger and shock.

Before he could speak, Rebecca snatched a stack of napkins and rushed over to help. She dabbed frantically at his shirt. “Mr. Foster, I’m so, so sorry! I didn’t mean to—please, let me—”

He stepped back, trying to put distance between them, but Rebecca kept pace, her hands moving anxiously over the coffee stains on his jacket and then—without thinking—down to his pants.

Dylan stiffened, grabbing her wrist in a sudden, almost desperate motion. His voice was cold, threaded with both irritation and embarrassment. “Rebecca, what exactly do you think you’re doing?”

Rebecca looked up, startled, realizing where her hand had landed. She yanked it back, face burning. “I’m so sorry—I really didn’t mean—”

The color drained from Dylan’s face, replaced by a rigid, uncomfortable expression. He shot her a look that said he didn’t believe a word.

“That’s enough. Leave it. Just go,” he said, turning away, voice clipped and icy.
