A Divorce He Regrets (Raina and Alexander) novel Chapter 355

After the game, I spotted Ava and it was obvious that she was waiting for her brother. Perfect. I cut through the crowd, ready to cover her before she could escape or before Liam would appear, but something else got there before me. The guy from earlier and I just stood there and watched them.

The bastard stood there, grinning down at her. “Tough loss,” he let out in a casual voice. “And even though we didn’t win, I want to take you out and get to know you.”

I froze, every one of my muscles locking tight. Please say no. She had to, he was her brother’s rival. Well, mine too but that’s not the point.

But to my surprise, she smiled… really smiled and then nodded. Is she crazy?

“Sure. I’ll call you.”

My jaw cracked under the pressure of my teeth. Liam walked past me, scowling so hard his face might split. “Fuck off, Nathan.”

Nathan was his name? The name hit like a punch to the gut. That’s my father’s name.

I swallowed the flash of rage that rose in my throat. There were too many coincidences, too many ghosts.

The Nathan guy’s grin only grew wider as he must have realized that Ava was Liam’s sister. “Well damn, you need to relax, man,” he shot back. “I’m just asking your sister to dinner, it’s called being a gentleman. You should try it sometime.”

Ava jumped in before Liam could say anything and before the situation got worse. “I’ll call you, okay?” She repeated quickly. Nathan nodded, winked and walked off, hands in his pockets, whistling like nothing in the world could touch him. Fucker.

I stared after him, my anger buzzing in my veins like electricity. You’ll regret that smile, princess.

I went straight to my car, popped open the glove box, and pulled out my father’s watch yet again. It was cold and heavy, a reminder that I needed Ava. And if she wasn’t going to come willingly…

I turned on the ignition, drove out of the parking lot and headed to the Graham house. I parked down the street, brought out my phone and texted her.

“We need to talk. Now.”

I sent the message but after five minutes, I got no response.

I called but it went straight to voicemail. I called again and again but nothing, until the last call went through to the polite little machine telling me that I had been blocked.

Blocked?

Chapter 355 1

“I don’t want to talk to you,” she spat, looking at me with disdain. She doesn’t mean that. “So, leave.”

“Not until you hear me out.” I can be stubborn as well.

Liam stepped forward with squared shoulders. “You heard her. Get out before I make you.” This one and his stupid threats, ugh.

“Make me?” I laughed, the sound rough, even to my own ears. “What are you gonna do, Graham? Call daddy?” Well, he’s in the hospital.

Chapter 355 2

“Fuck the deal!” I snarled, stepping closer. “I love Ava, you hear me? I fucking love her and if it means getting shot then so be it.”

Chapter 355 3

“So be it.”
