Daniel spoke up. "If he really wants to be with her, we have no choice but to accept it. It is not as if Luke needs to marry a girl of equal social standing anyway." He paused for a moment before continuing. "But two days ago, my mother visited the Manning family to see Clarence. She originally intended to meet Willa, but she never got to see her. Jeffrey kept a very close eye on the girl."

Rose truly did not know what to do about Luke's rebellion. She had originally wanted to see Willa for herself to determine exactly what kind of girl she was, but she had ultimately failed to meet her. However, Grandpa Clarence was quite pleased that Rose had personally come to the estate to see Willa, so he was actively trying to figure out a way to make Jeffrey bring the girl out of isolation.

Daniel looked straight ahead. "You were just trying to cause trouble for Luke back then."

Max did not bother denying it. "It only goes to show that this is Luke's destiny."

They finally arrived at the hospital.

Daniel called Luke. Luke was surprised by their sudden arrival, but instead of asking them to come upstairs, he went down to the lobby to meet them.

"Daniel, Max."

"What happened?" Daniel asked. He knew Luke had been trying every possible method to find Willa lately. Fearing Luke might do something reckless, Daniel had secretly kept an eye on him.

Luke seemed entirely at a loss for how to explain the situation.

"Are you still going to play tough even now?" Daniel's tone turned uncompromisingly stern.

Left with no other choice, Luke confessed everything. He had hacked into the Manning family's security network and located Willa. He had gone to get her, fully prepared to take her by brute force. Both sides had nearly come to blows when news arrived that Jeffrey had been seriously injured.

Luke had charged upstairs without a second thought. He found Jeffrey leaning heavily against the sofa, clutching his chest, while Willa sat on the floor, trembling violently. Her hands were completely covered in blood, and her eyes were utterly numb. She had even tried to take a knife to her own throat. Fortunately, Luke had intervened just in time to stop her.

Jeffrey was rushed to the hospital immediately. Luke took Willa away and contacted Ivy. Willa and Ivy were currently resting at his place.
