The Contract Said No Strings Attached (Charlotte) novel Chapter 533

Emily froze.

She remembered now. Back then, Dylan's legs were injured; he was disabled.

Could it be that he was the one who was forced?

At that thought, Emily immediately dropped to her knees, a pitiful expression on her face. “Mr. Austin, I had no choice. I was drugged that night and wasn't in my right mind. I really didn't do it on purpose. But Mr. Austin, it was my first time, too. I gave you a girl's most precious gift. Can't you spare me just this once?”

Dylan frowned slightly. He remembered the bloodstain he saw the next morning. It was indeed her first time.

But even so, he couldn't forgive her.

Kneeling on the floor, Emily continued, “Mr. Austin, please spare me. I won’t tell anyone about this, and I won’t be a burden to you in any way. If possible, I’m willing to take this secret to my grave…”

Dylan stared at her coldly. “In that case, you could have kept it a secret forever. Why did you suddenly appear now?”

Emily lowered her head. “I came forward now because I do have my own selfish reasons.”

Dylan sneered. “Selfish reasons?”

Emily pressed her head lower, her voice trembling with fear. “Mr. Austin, I wouldn't dare to dream of being with you. I know my place, and I’m not worthy of you. I just ask that you give me a chance.”

“Also, I know you’ve been looking for me. I was afraid that if you found me, I would suffer a worse fate, so I decided to confess myself.”

Her voice quivered as if she were genuinely terrified.

Dylan was silent for a moment, weighing the truthfulness of her words.

Just then, Dennis spoke up. “Mr. Austin, if she’s been able to keep this quiet for so long, it means she’s tight-lipped. There’s no need to kill her.”

After a while, he said coldly, “I can spare your life. You may leave.”

Emily was a little disappointed. It seemed Dylan wasn't willing to make her a star. However, the fact that he was sparing her meant he believed her story.

There would be other opportunities.

She quickly stood up. “Thank you, Mr. Austin. Thank you, Mr. Austin.”

Dylan looked at her and said, “I’ll have my people continue to investigate. If I find out you’re lying, you know the consequences.”

Emily’s heart skipped a beat. What? He was still going to investigate?

She quickly nodded in agreement. “I know, I know. I would never lie.”
