Katherine clutched the pendant tightly. “That’s wonderful, Dad! We finally have hope. Damn you, Rebecca. This time, we’ll make you pay.”

A dimly lit room, where the light was so faint it barely illuminated the figures within.
Dylan sat there silently, emanating an icy aura that seemed to freeze the very air around him.
Dennis had already brought the person in.
Emily stood about six feet away, her body trembling slightly. She didn't dare get any closer to the man.
Even though the man before her was impossibly handsome, with features as sharp as a sculpture, she was too afraid to look him in the eye.
But today, she had come with a great deal of confidence. She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself.
Dylan coolly sized up the woman before him, his gaze as sharp as a hawk’s. “The woman from five years ago… it was you?”
Emily bit her lip. “Yes, Mr. Austin, it was me…”
Dylan narrowed his eyes. “You look a little familiar.”
He felt like he had seen this woman somewhere before.
But he had trouble recognizing faces.
Just then, Dennis, who was standing nearby, said, “Mr. Austin, she is Crystal’s best friend, Emily.”
Emily?
Dylan didn't care who she was. He only cared if she was truly the woman from five years ago.
“Tell me everything that happened that night, five years ago.”
At this moment, he looked at Emily with murder in his eyes. He wanted to kill her.
Suddenly, Dylan's icy voice echoed in the room. “Tell me, how would you like to die?”
Emily was stunned. “What?”
What was happening?
Shouldn't Dylan be happy to finally find the woman from five years ago? Shouldn't he be offering her a huge sum of money as compensation?
Why did he want to kill her?
“Mr. Austin, I… I don’t understand, why…” Emily’s voice trembled, her legs so weak she could barely stand.
Dylan sneered, his voice devoid of any warmth. “You dared to target me. You were asking for death.”
