Suddenly, a ripple of excitement swept through the bar.
Isabella tugged on Rebecca’s arm. “Rebecca, look! The male dancer show is starting.”
Before Rebecca could protest, Isabella pulled her to the front of the crowd, eager not to miss a thing.
At first, Rebecca hesitated, feeling a bit awkward about the whole spectacle, but Isabella’s enthusiasm was impossible to resist. Rebecca found herself swept along to the edge of the stage.
As the dancers came into view, even Rebecca couldn’t help but be impressed. Wow—those physiques were no joke.
Tonight, the bar owner had splurged on a famous male revue troupe. Onstage, the dancers were tall, strikingly handsome, and impressively built, their chiseled muscles sharply defined under the lights. The crowd below—almost entirely women—erupted into wild cheers.
All around them, shouts and whistles rose in waves, and Rebecca was astonished to see a handful of wealthy women tossing bills up onto the stage. The whole scene was beyond anything she’d ever experienced.
Spurred on by the money, the dancers amped up their performance, shirts open and bodies moving with reckless abandon.
Then, the MC announced a special treat: a “VIP moment.” One of the male dancers would invite a woman from the crowd onstage for a close, sultry dance.
The well-heeled women in the front row went wild, fighting to be chosen. “Pick me! Over here! Me!” Hands waved frantically in the air, and the energy in the bar soared to fever pitch.
The dancer’s gaze swept across the crowd, finally landing on Rebecca.
She froze, wide-eyed, as he strode toward her and extended his hand.
Rebecca’s surprise was unmistakable. She quickly shook her head, shrinking back—no way was she going up there to dance with a complete stranger, not in front of everyone.
But the dancer wasn’t giving up easily. He smiled at her, eyes brimming with anticipation.
Sensing her friend’s distress, Isabella jumped in. “Rebecca, you’re a married woman. You should probably sit this one out. I’m single—let me go instead!”
Without waiting for an answer, Isabella volunteered herself, and the dancer, catching on, turned and offered his hand to her instead.
A moment later, Isabella was onstage, basking in the envy and admiration of the crowd as she launched into the dance.
