The Contract Said No Strings Attached (Charlotte) novel Chapter 422

Dennis walked over at once, grinning as he greeted them. “Well, what a coincidence! I didn’t expect to see both of you young gentlemen here.”

Ethan waved him over. “Come join us, Mr. Dennis! I ordered way too much fried chicken.”

But Dennis shook his head. “Not this time, Ethan. I actually have some business to take care of today. You two go ahead and eat—next time, I’ll join you.”

Ethan pulled a face. “Alright, if you say so.” Then he went back to gnawing on his drumstick.

Just then, Rebecca approached the table. Ethan immediately looked up, eyes lighting up. “Mom, you’re here too!”

Rebecca slid into the seat across from her sons and took out a napkin, wiping sauce from Ethan’s mouth. “Look at you—what a mess. Did you two come here on your own?”

Ethan giggled. “Of course not. Louis drove us over. Are you hungry, Mom? Join us! I ordered extra for you.”

So the three of them started eating together, laughter and conversation flowing easily as they shared their fried chicken.

Dennis stood off to the side, watching Rebecca and the boys enjoying themselves. Despite the cheerful scene, his mind was in turmoil.

The meeting time had already come and gone—so where was N?

When Rebecca seemed nearly finished with her meal, Dennis gently reminded her, “Ma’am, maybe you should give N a call and check where he is.”

It had been over ten minutes already. Surely N wouldn’t be late without a reason?

This contract signing was crucial. If N didn’t show, the entire partnership might be at risk.

Suddenly, Noah set down his napkin and glanced at Dennis. “I’ve been here the whole time.”

There was a calm maturity in Noah’s eyes, a confidence that left no room for denial.

Dennis sat down next to him, eyes fixed on the laptop screen as the original data for the famed SOAI chip technology scrolled past.

As lines of code and diagrams flashed by, Dennis’s eyes widened in awe. The way he looked at Noah changed—admiration and respect replacing all doubt.

By the end, he was utterly convinced.

“I never imagined you were N all along. This is…this is unbelievable,” Dennis stammered, voice shaking. “You’re a genius, truly!”

In that moment, Dennis saw Noah in a whole new light. For the first time, he realized he was looking at someone extraordinary.
