“Mommy, you look beautiful!” Ethan exclaimed, practically bouncing with excitement.
“Yeah, Mommy, you look just like a fairy-tale princess who just stepped out of a painting,” Aiden chimed in, his eyes wide with admiration.
Evan giggled from the side, “If you go out dressed like this, every head on the street will turn to look at you!”
Noah didn’t say anything, but the adoring look in his eyes said more than words ever could.
Rebecca hesitated for a moment, glancing down at her dress. It was undeniably gorgeous—but also a little more revealing than she was used to. She wasn't sure if it was really appropriate for a trip to the boxing gym.
But when she saw the eager, expectant faces of her boys, her worries melted away. Straightening her shoulders, Rebecca walked out confidently to join them.
The four little ones were already ready to go, wearing matching athletic gear and oversized boxing gloves, looking absolutely adorable.
“Come on, Mommy, let’s go!” Ethan urged, grabbing her hand impatiently.
“Alright, let’s get moving,” Rebecca laughed, ruffling Ethan’s hair as she shepherded the group out the door.
Together, they set off for the boxing gym.
In the car, Ethan, Aiden, and Evan sat quietly in their seats, but Noah was still glued to his laptop. Rebecca frowned a little—Noah had been spending way too much time on the computer lately. It wasn’t good for his eyes, and she worried he was overdoing it.
Trying to sound casual, Rebecca asked, “What are you working on, Noah?”
Noah finally looked up. “I was just helping Uncle Samuel sort through some emails. I’m done now.” He closed the laptop and set it aside.
Ethan lifted his chin with bravado. “Uncle Samuel, I have to warn you—I’ve gotten really good. Don’t cry when I knock you down later!”
Samuel let out a hearty laugh. “We’ll see if you can take me down first.”
No sooner had they entered than the four kids dashed off to play.
Rebecca hung back, catching up to Samuel. “Samuel, I need to talk to you about something,” she said, her tone serious.
