Ethan glanced at the video too, catching sight of Crystal strutting into their father’s office in a revealing dress, and grimaced. “She looks awful. No matter what she wears, Dad’ll never be interested in her. Hmph!”

Aiden chimed in, “Yeah, she’s not even worth a single one of Mom’s fingers.”

To Aiden, their mom was the most beautiful woman in the world.

Evan let out a sigh. “But Mom doesn’t even try to dress up. She wears those boring, business-like clothes every day—how’s Dad supposed to notice her like that?”

Aiden disagreed. “Mom’s already perfect, she doesn’t need to dress up like Crystal.”

Evan shook his head. “But sometimes you have to change things up to get Dad’s attention. What if he likes a different side of Mom? We need to show him Mom can pull off any look.”

The others nodded thoughtfully, agreeing with Evan’s point.

Ethan’s eyes sparkled as an idea hit him.

He dashed into their mom’s bedroom and rummaged through her closet. After a few minutes, he triumphantly pulled out what he considered her prettiest dress.

He brought it back to the room, where his three siblings immediately gathered around.

Ethan’s eyes widened in excitement. “Awesome! Maybe Dad’s not so gullible after all.”

Noah was silent for a moment, then said firmly, “I’m going to the police station later.”

Ethan looked at him, curious. “What for?”

Noah replied seriously, “To talk to Crystal.”

Ethan immediately volunteered, “I’ll go with you!”
