The Contract Said No Strings Attached (Charlotte) novel Chapter 353

Dylan looked at Crystal, his voice calm. “What is it?”

Crystal leaned in, lowering her voice. “Dylan, did you know your wife is seeing another man behind your back?”

Dylan’s expression darkened, his eyes narrowing slightly. “Where did you hear that?”

Crystal cleared her throat. “Don’t ask how I know—I just do. And I saw her myself, with some stranger. All over each other, like they were more than just friends.”

She piled on the accusations, hoping to ruin Rebecca’s image in Dylan’s mind.

“Before she married into the Thomson family, she already had four kids with other men. Her love life has always been a mess,” Crystal continued, savoring every word as she twisted the knife.

Dylan fell silent for a moment, his face impossible to read.

Crystal noticed his silence and pressed on. “Dylan, I’m telling the truth. Don’t you believe me?”

Still, Dylan said nothing.

Crystal’s impatience flared. “Dylan, I just don’t want you to be fooled by her. She doesn’t love you—she’s just using you, looking for someone to clean up her mess. You should divorce her!”

Outside, Garcia hadn’t really left after slipping out of the office. She stood with her ear pressed to the door, eavesdropping on every word exchanged between Dylan and Crystal.

When she heard Crystal accuse Rebecca of cheating, Garcia gasped, clapping a hand over her mouth in shock.

She never expected to overhear something so scandalous—much less that Rebecca could be that kind of woman!

After all, Dylan was such a catch—handsome, successful, everything a woman could want. And yet Rebecca still couldn’t be satisfied?

As she spoke, she watched Dylan carefully, waiting for his anger to explode. She expected shouting—maybe even rage—but instead, he sat perfectly calm.

Finally, he spoke, voice flat. “Alright. If you’ve said what you needed to say, you can go.”

What?

Crystal stood there, stunned. Why wasn’t he furious? Why was he sending her away?

She’d thrown everything she had at Rebecca’s reputation, and Dylan didn’t even flinch?

It just didn’t make sense.
