The Contract Said No Strings Attached (Charlotte) novel Chapter 352

Impossible!

That little tramp must be trying to seduce Dylan!

The thought was like a spark to gasoline. Crystal stormed forward, glaring daggers at Garcia as she snapped, “Who the hell are you? What are you doing in Dylan’s office this late at night? And dressed so… provocatively, too.”

Crystal’s eyes swept over Garcia, lingering with open hostility on every exposed inch of skin.

Garcia, caught off guard by Crystal’s sudden entrance, looked equally confused. “And who are you supposed to be? What gives you the right to question me?”

Crystal could tell this woman wouldn’t back down easily. She sneered and announced her identity with a toss of her hair. “I’m Crystal, Rebecca’s sister. I’m here to see my brother-in-law on family business. But you—dressed like that in the middle of the night? Honestly, you look like you’re here to sell yourself. I wouldn’t put it past you!”

Garcia froze. Rebecca’s sister?

Guilt flickered across Garcia’s face, but her anger rose to match Crystal’s. She knew very well she had no business being there after hours. Still, being accused like this was infuriating. “You’ve got it all wrong. I’m Mr. Austin’s secretary. I’m just here to drop off his coffee.”

Crystal glanced at the name badge on Garcia’s blouse—Garcia, Executive Assistant. So, she really was the secretary.

But that didn’t mean Crystal had to believe her. “Oh, please. You need to get that close to deliver coffee? Don’t play dumb. You’re obviously trying to seduce my brother-in-law, hoping to ruin my sister’s marriage. Shameless!”

The insults finally pushed Garcia over the edge. She’d been called worse, but if she didn’t stand up for herself now, she’d regret it. Who cared if Crystal was Dylan’s sister-in-law? If Garcia ever climbed the corporate ladder, she’d have no problem putting Rebecca in her place, too.

“Say one more word, and I swear I’ll wipe that smug look off your face!”

Chapter 352 2

Dylan’s expression grew colder. “Get to the point.”

Crystal hesitated, then jabbed a finger at Garcia. “Dylan, make her leave first. Then we’ll talk.”

Garcia’s eyes blazed with fury, but Crystal matched her glare for glare. She was determined—she’d never let a woman like Garcia get her hooks into Dylan.

A second later, Dylan turned to Garcia. His voice was flat and unyielding. “Out.”

Garcia’s mouth opened, but the words died before they could form. She glared at Crystal one last time, then turned on her heel and stalked out, frustration radiating from every step.
