The Contract Said No Strings Attached (Charlotte) novel Chapter 155

After a while, the four kids huddled together again, each flashing an “OK” sign—the mission was complete.

Noah lowered his voice, conspiratorial. “Next up, we just need to set up times for each of them to meet Grumpy Granny on their own.”

As for which one Grumpy Granny might like… well, that was up to fate.

Ethan pumped his little fists, eyes gleaming with excitement. “Yeah! I can’t wait to see Grumpy Granny’s face when she meets them!”

Aiden’s big eyes sparkled with anticipation. “I wonder which one she’ll like best?”

Evan stroked his chin thoughtfully. “Let’s see… there’s the one who can dance, the one who does yoga, the gentleman, and the funny one. Surely at least one of them will catch her eye.”

Ethan raised his eyebrows mischievously. “Honestly, I don’t care who she picks, as long as she’s too busy to stir up trouble.”

Noah continued assigning tasks. “You guys arrange the meetups with them in a bit. I’ll keep tabs on Grumpy Granny’s schedule to make sure she gets a surprise every time she goes out.”

The little crew nodded in unison. “No problem, leave it to us!”

A little later, Rebecca strolled over and saw the kids surrounded by a few elderly gentlemen. She asked, “Sweethearts, what are you up to?”

The kids looked a bit guilty when they saw Mom coming.

Quick-thinking Ethan piped up, “Mom, we’re just chatting with Grandpa and the others—learning how to line dance together!”

Rebecca glanced at the old gentlemen and smiled politely.

The men chuckled and waved as they headed back to their dance.

“See you later, little ones!”

“Bye, Grandpa! See you soon!”

Jacob grumbled, not hiding his annoyance. “Well, aren’t you just full of yourself.”

But Mrs. Austin only lifted her chin, proud and unbothered. “Of course! Just goes to show your wife is still as beautiful and irresistible as ever.”

Worried the man would cause more trouble, Jacob quickly ordered the bodyguards to escort him away.

At first, Mrs. Austin couldn’t help but laugh, secretly pleased that she was still turning heads after all these years.

But her good mood didn’t last long. As soon as they stepped outside, another gentleman approached her—this one dressed simply but with a sincere look in his eyes.

He said, “Ma’am, I believe you’re the soulmate I’ve been searching for all my life. Be with me! You can take care of me, and I’ll make sure to take you dancing every day and bring you happiness.”

Mrs. Austin was utterly stunned. She never imagined something like this would happen again.

Jacob shot her a dangerous look. “Well, Mrs. Austin, are you planning to keep a secret boyfriend on the side now?”
