Looking warily at Xenia, the doctor said, "Put the knife down, and we'll let you out right away."

"Liar! You said the same thing, too!" Xenia snapped back in a panic. "I'm fine now! I'm not sick anymore, so let me out!"

She'd finally regained her clarity and now understood why Noelle had been able to take everything from her. It was because Noelle had been reborn, and now that she was reborn, too, the victor was far from decided.

The doctor glanced at the nurse and asked, "Did you get in touch with her family?"

"Yes, they said they're on their way."

Then, the doctor turned back to Xenia and said, "Your family's already on the way, so calm down. It's the New Year. Calmly talk to them, and get them to take you home."

"Family? I don't have a family." Xenia grew angrier. The fact that these so-called family members came out of nowhere and threw her into a mental hospital meant something was off. It was most likely Noelle's doing.

Soon, Ivy arrived. She was supposed to attend the Cantrell family's dinner party and rally support, but Xenia had ruined everything.

Looking displeased, she snapped, "Xenia, what are you making a scene about now?"

"Are you my mom?" Xenia asked doubtfully as she scanned Ivy's face. She'd seen Ivy in her past life, and the latter was clearly Mia's stepmom.

How could Ivy suddenly be her mom? She remembered what her mom looked like. Ivy replied, "Yes, it's me. Who else could get you out of there?"

"Get me out? Why did you lock me in here in the first place? Did Noelle send you here to harm me?"

When Ivy heard that, she knew Xenia still wasn't in her right mind. So, she turned to the doctor. "Can't you even handle a single patient?"

"We're worried about harming her."
