Noelle looked at Cedric beside her and said, "Let me check the pictures you took. Let's see if your photography skills have improved."
She glanced through the album and raised an eyebrow. "Not bad at all."
"Taking pictures isn't hard. I had just to learn a little," Cedric said with a hint of pride in his voice.
Noelle took the phone and held it up. "Let's take a selfie."
Cedric lowered his head and kissed her right as she pressed the shutter. Looking at the picture of them kissing on the screen, Noelle smiled. "Let's eat. I'm getting hungry now."
Cedric took her hand, and the two of them headed to a seaside restaurant. During the meal, Noelle posted nine pictures taken at the beach because she really loved the sea.
Emma liked the post and reposted a picture of Noelle and Cedric at the beach on her Instagram account, accompanied by a caption that read, "My son and daughter-in-law are vacationing by the sea!"
The post blew up immediately and garnered a huge number of likes and comments. They were mostly filled with a mix of envy and admiration.
Meanwhile, Laura happened to see the post. Her expression twisted as she stared at the picture of the couple hand in hand.
After staring at the picture for a long time, she took out her phone and said, "Book me the earliest flight to Venharr."
"Ms. Merlock, are you going on a business trip?"
"Don't ask questions you shouldn't. Just book the flight." After hanging up, Laura clenched her jaw and hissed. "I won't lose."
She'd built herself into a success. In elite circles, wealthy people treated her with respect, and many were eager to work with PZ Group, flattering her at every turn. She was going to release all her pent-up frustration in front of Cedric and Noelle.
…
Back at the beach, Noelle and Cedric enjoyed a seafood feast and later walked along the shore, taking in the night sky. The sea breeze brushed against her hair as she said, "This life feels good."
