Her belly gave a sudden, firm kick.
Coralie grew even more annoyed, pointing a scolding finger at her bump. "What are you doing? I haven't even started yelling yet, don't push it!"
*The little cub:* ... *It wasn't me, Mommy. You slammed the laptop too loud and scared the baby.*

Lot 5.
It took Channing exactly three days to completely finalize all the preparatory work for the orphanage.
Building on a one-to-one replica of the original orphanage, they planned to expand it, utilizing only the absolute best facilities available.
"Governor, you haven't really slept in three days. Why don't you rest for a bit before heading to the venue?"
Jude held the progress report, looking at Channing with deep concern.
"I'm fine."
Channing had just shed his entire disguise and changed into an impeccably tailored suit. He leaned back against the sofa, massaging his temples to ease his exhaustion.
"After today's conference concludes, do not schedule any more work for me for the next two weeks."
"Governor, are you entirely certain about confessing the truth to Ms. Quill?"
Jude was genuinely worried for him.
The Governor had lied to her for nearly four years.
Once he confessed, who knew if she would ever forgive him.
"If she wants to be angry, let her be angry. I can take whatever she throws at me."
Channing's lips curved into a helpless, self-deprecating smile. "Who told me to fall so deeply in love with her? What other choice do I have?"
"Let's go. To the venue."
"Yes, sir."
Jude didn't say another word, simply hugging the files to his chest as he hurried after Channing.

At the venue.
It was Coralie's first time attending an event of this magnitude. She had specifically applied light, elegant makeup and dressed with utmost formality.
Her seat was right in the middle, quite conspicuous.
As the people around her spotted her, their expressions shifted from surprise to hushed, gossipy whispers.
