"Are you telling me to use this to gain Zachary's trust?"
Rocco looked up at his subordinate, his brows tightly furrowed.
"Exactly."
The associate nodded, explaining earnestly. "Zachary was almost destroyed by the Governor back in the day, and he's been nursing that grudge ever since. If he catches wind of a scandal like this, he'll be over the moon."
"By feeding him this intel, you save the casino and earn his trust. On the flip side, you also let him be the one to deal with Coralie. Two birds with one stone. Why not?"
Rocco thought it over carefully. The plan actually sounded solid.
It solved his immediate crisis without requiring him to get his own hands dirty.
"Find a way to set up a meeting with Zachary." A sinister smile crept into Rocco's eyes, and he gritted his teeth. "This time, not only is Coralie finished, but Governor Rhodes is going to take a massive hit, too."
Without the Governor acting as her shield, he could crush Coralie without a second thought.
"Yes, sir. I'll get on it immediately."
"Wait."
"Sir?"
"While you're at it, find out exactly whose kid Coralie is carrying."
Rocco narrowed his eyes, a vicious glint shining through.
The associate nodded. "Understood!"
—
At the Rhodes estate.
Zachary was in the middle of handling project details when a sudden knock came at his door.
"Zachary, someone is here to see you."
Zachary rejected it without a second thought. "Not seeing anyone."
All his focus had to remain on the upcoming project.
With the final inspection scheduled for next month, there was absolutely zero room for error.
"The man said he knows something about your brother."
His assistant answered cautiously. "He said Ms. Quill is pregnant."
*Clack—*
The pen in Zachary's hand slipped and hit the floor with a sharp sound.
Pregnant?
Heh.
This whole situation was becoming more and more interesting.
