A Divorce He Regrets (Raina and Alexander) novel Chapter 367

KYE

“Do you think I’m a fool?” Dylan’s voice was a low snarl. His face was close to me as his grip bruised on my shirt. “What the hell are you doing? You really think it’s okay for you to ruin our… my plans?” If he's here, where the fuck is Ava?

My pulse thundered and anger lit in my chest. My head darted to the side as if searching for her in the hallway. I turned back to Dylan with a sneer matching his. “Your plans huh? How long have you been working on it? You lied to me. The both of you. My father, your father … they weren’t heroes,” I yelled, seeing nothing but red. “They were fucking criminals! Muderers and you fucking made me believe that the Grahams were guilty, but they’re not. They never were.”

His eyes darkened and his hand slammed harder into my chest. “If I say the Grahams aren’t good people, then they fucking aren't. If I fucking say they’re guilty, then they’re guilty. Don’t you ever forget who made you, boy.”

“Where the hell is Kye?”

The coach’s voice echoed through the hall, calling for me. Dylan finally released me with a shove as a sneer curled his lips.

“This isn’t over,” he growled. “Mess this up for us and you’re going to regret this.”

“If anyone's going to regret anything, I guarantee it wouldn't be me,” I bit back. “I’m done being your fucking puppet.”

I walked back to the team with my jaw clenched so tight that it ached. Fucking finally gave him a piece of my mind. For the first time in my life, I didn’t feel like a tool or like I owed anyone anything. I felt free.

The second half roared to life… harder and faster. Our opponents were here stronger, and almost faster. My chest started to burn soon. I could swear these guys were juiced up for this half. Sweat formed and dripped down every part of my body. I was drenched.

It was a tough game and I kept staring at Ava, grateful that my uncle was no longer beside her. Finally gone.

I jerked on till the final whistle blew, until victory was ours. The crowd cheered and my team did the same, chest bumping each other as Coach yelled in pride.

The world spun around me and a second later, my knees gave out. I saw the panic in their eyes as my body made contact with the ground.

Chapter 367 3

His screams pierced my ears, but a ringing took over, blocking out every other sound.
