Why was Miranda so set on taking the young master abroad?
And from what Felix had just said, it sounded like neither Master Robert nor Mr. Robert knew anything about it.
The driver pulled out his phone and quietly sent Robert a text.
Miranda had no idea the driver had been bought off by Robert years ago.
Any time Miranda did anything suspicious, the driver would report it to Robert, and this time was no different.
"Come on. Get in the car. We're going home," Miranda said, giving in to her son.
Only then did Felix climb back into the car. "Mom. I'm not going back there. I want to go back to school and keep studying."
What he really wanted was to keep playing with the other kids.
After what had just happened, Miranda had no choice but to agree and take him back to the school.
Inside the school.
Everyone had assumed Felix wasn't coming back.
Dante couldn't help saying, "Felix finally got what was coming to him. He's so annoying. I hope he doesn't come back to our school."
His deskmate nodded too.
"Mm-hmm, Dante, you're right. None of us like him."
At that exact moment, Felix came swaggering up to the classroom doorway and happened to hear what they were saying.
His steps locked in place.
Something crowded his eyes.
None of them liked him?
Felix decided to stay at the doorway and listen.
He wanted to hear just how many people were talking behind his back.
What he didn't expect was that, other than Jonathan, everyone in the class was saying he was bad.
They said he bullied people.
They said they didn't want him staying at the school anymore.
Disbelief filled Felix's eyes.
He had always thought people found him pretty likable.
How had it turned into this?
"Felix, why are you back? And why are you standing out here?" The teacher called when he saw him from outside.
The voices inside the classroom cut off in an instant.
Felix strode in like he'd caught them with something they couldn't deny.
