Cecilia got up and walked out.
Stella watched her back.
Then she suddenly stood up. "Cecilia!"
Cecilia's steps stopped.
She turned back to look at her.
At some point, the corners of Stella's eyes had gone red.
"Cecilia! I think... I think I was wrong!"
For more than ten years, Stella had kept having the same kind of dream.
Again and again, she dreamed of the past.
The clearest part was always the beginning.
Back then, Regas had just started helping her.
At that time, she wasn't carrying all those schemes yet.
She had only just met Cecilia, and in her eyes, Cecilia was good in every way.
Cecilia would let her wear pretty clothes.
She would save the good food for her too.
She even shared her allowance with her.
Maybe it was because she was getting old.
The earliest memories had started coming back to her more and more clearly, and the longing for them had only grown stronger.
When Cecilia heard her say she thought she had been wrong, something complicated settled across her face.
"It's all in the past."
That was all she said.
A few simple words, and no forgiveness in them.
Stella watched her leave and kept staring after her for a long, long time.
For some reason, one sentence rose into her mind.
"We could've been good sisters from the start."

Cecilia knew this had been the last time she would ever come to see Stella.
From here on out, there would be nothing left between them.
And after death, she only hoped they would never meet again.
Right then,
her telephone rang again.
She picked it up and looked at the screen. It was a number she didn't know.
Cecilia hesitated for a moment, then answered the call. "Hello? Who is this?"
