When Her Death Couldn't Break Him (Cecilia and Nathaniel) novel Chapter 2285

Miranda froze.

What exactly had Adrian been teaching this kid?

She couldn't be bothered wasting breath trying to reason with a child, so she turned to the driver and said, "Drive faster."

The driver immediately picked up speed.

The second Felix saw that, his small hands locked around Miranda's arm.

"Mom, I'm not going. I don't want to go abroad."

Miranda kept her face cold and refused to answer him.

Felix's eyes had already gone red. "Mom, I'm begging you..."

Miranda still didn't react. Felix clenched his fists. "Stop the car. Stop the car right now. I want Grandpa. I want Dad!"

He threw himself forward and shook the driver's seat with all his strength.

Sweat broke out across the driver's forehead. He had no idea how this little tyrant had so much strength, but with the seat getting yanked like that, he couldn't even focus on driving.

Miranda grabbed him and hauled him back. "Felix, sit still. Do you want me to hit you?"

Felix had been spoiled rotten since he was little.

He kept kicking the back of the driver's seat as hard as he could.

"Then hit me. You might as well beat me to death. I didn't want to live anymore." He burst into tears. "I'm not going abroad."

Miranda hadn't expected Felix to fight going abroad this hard.

But things had already gotten to this point. She had to send her son away. If Robert found out anything, she would never be able to take Felix with her again.

"Little tyrant, you can't keep kicking my seat. It's not safe for me to drive like this!" The driver frowned and wiped the sweat off his forehead.

"No! No! I'm doing it anyway!"

As he shouted, Felix put even more force into it.

Without Miranda's say-so, the driver didn't dare stop the car.

Miranda had wanted to stop Felix, but kids were well-fed now. Even at his age, he was already sturdy, and there was no way she could hold him back by herself.

Felix's whole body shook. He couldn't stop the words from coming out. "Mom, I don't want to go abroad."

Back in Clusia, he might have been a nuisance to everyone around him, but he had been living happily.

Before this, Miranda had held to her decision without wavering. But at this moment, she hesitated.

"Felix, Mom won't force you to go to school anymore. How about this? Let's just go abroad and have fun for a while, okay?"

Felix shook his head. "What's so fun about abroad? I'm not going!"

He was still just a child. The danger from a moment ago had already slipped from his mind.

He even used it to threaten Miranda.

"Mom, if you insist on taking me away, then I'll throw myself in front of a vehicle!"

The second those words came out of Felix's mouth, Miranda's heartbeat kicked up. "Felix, don't say things like that. Fine. If you don't want to go, then we won't go."

At that point, she could only think of finding some other way.

Off to the side, the driver watched the whole thing and found it strange.
