As noon approached, Vesta tried Thorne's number again.

She stared at her screen for a moment before deciding to call Coy instead.

Vesta didn't bother with pleasantries. "Where are Thorne and Travis grabbing lunch?"

Coy had ignored her calls precisely because he knew she would ask something like this.

"I apologize, but I really can't disclose that information," he said smoothly.

Before Vesta could get another word in, he hung up.

She pressed her lips into a thin line. Instead of calling Coy back, she dialed Moran Albright. "Are you getting lunch with Thorne and Mr. Kress today?"

"No," Moran replied, clearly confused by the question. "They're discussing serious business. I don't work for The Henderson Group, so why would I be there? Honestly, if I hadn't seen the news this morning, I wouldn't have even known Thorne was back from his trip."

He paused. "Why do you ask?"

Vesta hesitated before softly saying, "It's nothing."

She had considered asking Moran to track down Thorne's location for her, just like she had in the past.

But ever since the incident in Havencrest, things had changed. While Moran had never explicitly mentioned if Thorne had confronted him about leaking his whereabouts...
