When Rebecca opened her eyes again, she found herself lying on a bed so soft and luxurious it felt like she was floating on clouds.
Above her was an ornate golden ceiling, a chandelier dripping with pearls and gemstones, and exquisitely carved moldings—everything as gorgeous as a scene from a royal palace.
For a moment, Rebecca wondered if she was dreaming, swept up into some kind of fairytale.
But no, this was real. She was in the most lavish estate in all of Wye—the Thomson family manor.
She realized she was surrounded by people, all of them gazing at her with a mix of excitement and relief.
A middle-aged woman in an elegant dress, her demeanor both gentle and graceful, leaned in with trembling voice and eyes shining with tears. “Rebecca, you’re awake.”
It was impossible to tell whether her tears were from joy or overwhelming emotion.
A man standing beside her, equally moved, spoke up, “Rebecca, you’re at the Thomson estate in Wye. I’m your father, George Thomson.”
Father?
Rebecca stared at the couple in disbelief.
With shaking hands, George offered her an envelope. His voice cracked with happiness as he continued, “This is the DNA test. You’re our daughter, Becky. Welcome home.”
Rebecca blinked, dazed, struggling to process this stunning revelation, when she noticed three strikingly handsome young men nearby.
The man closest to her stepped forward. “Becky, I’m Samuel. Samuel Thomson.”
Samuel, the second son of the Thomson family, was tall and broad-shouldered, with sharp, regal features and an unmistakable air of authority. Brilliant since childhood, he’d already made a name for himself in the business world and now ran the family empire—pivotal, respected, and impossible to ignore.
Rebecca’s gaze lingered on him for a few seconds before another voice drew her attention.
Michael—the superstar whose face was everywhere, the nation’s heartthrob, the idol dominating the entertainment industry—was her brother?!
She’d only ever seen him on stage, dazzling at his concerts, or during the occasional TV interview.
Never in a million years could she have imagined that Michael, the famous Michael, was her long-lost sibling.
A whirlwind of emotions crashed over her. Just when she’d given up hope of ever finding her birth family, fate had thrown her a miracle.
She wasn’t alone after all.
She had parents—and brothers. Each one extraordinary: a business prodigy, a brilliant doctor, a national icon.
But in the next moment, a flicker of doubt crept into her mind.
