Rebecca looked at Jane and said flatly, “Elders? When have you ever treated me as a junior? When you threw me out of the house, did you think of yourself as an elder then?”
Katherine cut in impatiently, “Enough of this nonsense. Rebecca, just go tell the Thomson family that my father was the one who saved the old man, and then hand over the jade pendant.”
Katherine’s tone was cold and commanding, as if she were giving an order.
Rebecca chuckled. “You’ve got a lot of nerve. Even if I had the pendant, which I don’t, I wouldn’t give it to you.”
Hogan’s face hardened. “Rebecca, I am your adoptive father. Are you sure you want to defy me?”
Jane chimed in, “Hmph, don’t be stubborn. That jade pendant rightfully belongs to the Foster family. You’ll give it to us, one way or another!”
They didn’t dare cause a scene at the Thomson estate, so they came to harass Rebecca instead.
They figured if they came and made a fuss every day, she’d eventually have to give in.
Meanwhile, four little heads were peeking out from behind a pillar, watching the scene unfold.
Ethan snorted. “Why is it them again? Stinky and Big Pig Head.”
He scrunched up his nose, his little face turning red with anger.
Noah noticed that the Fosters had brought quite a few people with them. His expression grew serious. “Quick, tell Uncle Samuel to come teach them a lesson.”
They were outnumbered; they couldn’t let their mother be at a disadvantage.
“Okay.”
Ethan immediately pulled out his phone, his small fingers tapping out a voice message.
“Uncle Samuel, come quick! Stinky and Big Pig Head are here bullying Mommy again!”
Though he had no idea who Ethan was talking about, the urgency in the boy’s voice told him something was wrong at Rebecca’s place.
He immediately dropped his work, instructed Dennis to gather some men, and headed for Sunset Villa Estates.
Back at the villa, the standoff at the gate was escalating.

Katherine snorted. “Stop bluffing, Rebecca. My dad got that pendant from Mr. Harold years ago. Hand it over now, or you’ll regret it.”
With that, she turned to Hogan. “Dad, let’s just take it. We’ll get that pendant back today, even if we have to snatch it.”
