Looking at the magnificent, opulent estate before them, Katherine was utterly stunned.
“Wow, I’ve never seen such a beautiful house. The Thomson family estate is huge,” Katherine said, looking like she’d never seen such wealth before.
Hogan and Jane were not much different. It was their first time seeing such a grand and imposing residence.
Especially in a place like Wye, where every inch of land was precious, just how rich was this Thomson family?
Hogan looked at his ecstatic daughter and said softly, “Alright, control yourself. Don’t embarrass us in front of the Thomsons.”
Katherine nodded obediently. “I know, Dad. I’ll be on my best behavior.”
Inside, George and Mrs. Thomson heard that they had visitors and instructed the butler, “Show them in.”
The butler bowed respectfully and went to greet them.
When the Foster family entered the living room, they were once again shocked by the luxurious decor.
Every single item on display was an antique; the air itself smelled of money.
Hogan took in his surroundings, marveling at the Thomson family’s wealth and status.
He had to seize this opportunity to change the Foster family’s fate.
Hogan stepped forward politely. “Mr. Thomson, Mrs. Thomson, I am Hogan, and this is my wife and daughter.”
George sized up the three of them, then looked at Hogan. “You said you have an heirloom of our Thomson family?”
Hogan nodded immediately. “That's right.”
He had recognized them the moment Hogan introduced himself.
They had thoroughly investigated Rebecca's past.
These were the adoptive parents who had raised Rebecca for over a decade.
Their favoritism had caused his daughter endless suffering, and they had even kicked a pregnant Rebecca out of the house, leaving a young girl to carry and give birth to her children all alone.
If they hadn’t found her when they did, who knows what kind of hardships Rebecca and her four children would have endured.
Out of respect for the fact that they had raised Rebecca, they hadn't settled the score for what happened in the past.
But now, this couple had the gall to show up with the Thomson family pendant, shamelessly posing as saviors.
