The Contract Said No Strings Attached (Charlotte) novel Chapter 46

On the other side of the street, Noah and Ethan trailed behind Crystal as she made her way into the hotel.

The two boys watched as Crystal strutted into her room, clearly pleased with herself.

Ethan clenched his small fists. “Noah, shouldn’t we teach that mean aunt a lesson?”

Noah considered it for a moment before nodding. “Absolutely. That’s what you call giving someone a taste of their own medicine.”

The brothers exchanged a glance, and the same mischievous idea sparked in their minds.

Without hesitation, they scoured the hotel lobby and found the most unattractive, scruffy old man they could. After slipping him a wad of cash and giving him simple instructions, they darted off to make their escape.

Glancing at his watch, Noah said, “It’s getting late. We should head home—if Mom comes back and we’re not there, she’ll freak out.”

Ethan nodded quickly. “Yeah, let’s go, before she finds out we’re gone.”

Their little mission complete, the boys slipped out of the bar once more, moving as quietly as shadows.

As they reached the front entrance, they spotted their driver locked in a heated argument with the hotel’s security guard. The two men were nearly shouting in each other’s faces, tension crackling between them.

The driver looked desperate, clearly losing the battle.

Noah and Ethan exchanged knowing glances and took the opportunity to sneak back into the car.

The moment the driver saw the two young masters appear, his eyes lit up with relief, nearly brimming with tears.

He immediately broke away from the security guard and dashed toward the car.

Climbing in, he called out hastily through the window, “We’re leaving now! I’m taking the kids home!”

But when Crystal threw open the door, the person standing there was not Dylan. Instead, she was confronted by a short, balding, overweight old man with a bulbous gut and a cloud of body odor so strong it made her gag.

Crystal recoiled, pinching her nose in disgust. Where on earth did they find such a revolting man?

She snapped, “Who are you? What are you doing here?”

The old man just grinned, flashing a mouthful of yellow teeth. “Evening, gorgeous. I’m here for you.”

Crystal’s instincts screamed danger. She tried to slam the door, but it was too late—the man shoved it open and squeezed inside, his greedy eyes roaming over her.

“Get out! What do you think you’re doing? Get out right now!” Crystal shouted, voice trembling with rage.

The man only chuckled, rubbing his hands together as he advanced. “Not leaving. Someone paid me good money for you tonight. All night, you’re mine. Heh heh heh...”
