But the moment those men caught sight of Rebecca’s face, their twisted desires were instantly awakened.
Rebecca was stunning—her delicate features and graceful poise made the group of burly men immediately eye her with hungry, lecherous stares.
One of them leered, grinning wickedly. “She’s a real beauty, shame about what’s going to happen.”
Another chimed in, his voice oily. “Doesn’t matter. Once we knock her out, maybe we’ll get to have some fun of our own… heh.”
Their words dripped with malice and sleaze.
Emily heard every word, and though a wave of disgust washed over her, she shoved it aside. She had her own agenda to see through.
“Do as I say, and you’ll get your reward,” she said coldly.
The men agreed at once, eager for both profit and their own sick anticipation.
They cracked their knuckles, barely able to wait to set their plan into motion.
Emily watched them follow after Rebecca, a satisfied smirk curling her lips.
This time, Rebecca’s as good as finished, she thought.
The men trailed Rebecca through the streets, careful to keep their distance and avoid drawing her attention.
Their eyes were filled with greed and wicked intent, just waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
Finally, they saw Rebecca slip into a deserted alleyway.
Sensing their opportunity, the group hurried after her, anticipation crackling between them.
But as soon as they entered the alley, Rebecca was gone.
They froze, exchanging bewildered looks.
“Where’d she go?” one of them blurted, eyes wide with disbelief.
Instantly on alert, they whipped around toward the noise.
A shadowy figure darted past the far end of the alley, moving impossibly fast.
“Go! After her!” one shouted.
The shadow slipped through the maze of alleyways and vanished from sight.
But Rebecca hadn’t gone far. The moment she’d entered the alley and sensed she was being followed, she’d spotted an abandoned warehouse beside it. She’d dashed inside, concealed by the darkness.
From her hiding place, Rebecca watched the men search in vain, their agitation growing. Keeping her voice low, she pulled out her phone and dialed emergency services.
“Hello, police? I’m being followed. Could you send someone, please?”
