Reject My Alpha Mate novel Chapter 7

Claire's POV

"I found Scarlett's ritual garments in our mating room!" My words carried Luna's rage.

Dominic recoiled. "They appeared without my knowledge!"

"Cease your serpent's tongue!" My wolf snarled through me.

"Return with me. I'll prove our bond transcends all." He reached for me, but I evaded his Alpha touch.

"Our bond is severed, Dominic! I invoked the ancient rites!" Ava's power fueled my growl.

His Alpha presence darkened. "I reject your rejection!"

Drawing on sacred power once more: "I, Claire Moonborn, reject you, Dominic Shadowcrest!"

He doubled over, clutching his mate-mark. "Never!"

The echo-pain struck lighter this time.

*Peace, Ava. The pain fades with each rejection,* I soothed my wolf's whimper.

"Accept the severing. End your suffering," I advised coldly.

Another groan escaped him. "Never! I deny the severance!"

Dominic's face twisted with territorial aggression. "Next month."

Ajax's gaze shifted between us. "What brings you to White Moon lands?"

"Retrieving my Luna." Dominic's words carried possessive rage.

Ajax frowned. "I understood your mate-bond was severed."

"Our bond is broken," I confirmed.

Dominic's frustration erupted in a growl. "Private words, Claire. Away from other wolves."
