He couldn’t hide his excitement. “The robot at Stewart Enterprise—that was you, too?”

Morris shrugged, one eyebrow raised. “Yeah. That was ages ago, honestly. It’s due for an upgrade, but I’ve just been too swamped lately.”

Mrs. Vincent sensed something was up. “Arthur, what robot are you talking about?”

Arthur jabbed a finger at Morris, nearly shaking with the news. “He made an AI robot that’s basically human. That’s why Mr. Moore didn’t even hesitate to sign with the Stewarts and dropped us without a second thought.”

Mrs. Vincent was floored. It finally clicked—her grandson, who’d wandered back home after all these years, was actually a prodigy.

The shock faded quickly, replaced by joy. “Nathan, if you put your skills to work for the Sharp family, we’d have the whole industry in our pocket.”

Morris frowned, just a hint of it.

Arthur spoke up again. “But what if he doesn’t want to help us? He already gave his tech to the Stewarts.”

Mrs. Vincent’s heart plummeted, disappointment flickering in her eyes. “Nathan, you’re one of us. You should be thinking about the Sharp family’s future. The tech you gave Ashley—could you give it to Vincent Corporation, too?”

Morris met her gaze, wondering how she could ask for something so unreasonable and still keep a straight face.

“But Nathan, you’re home now. The Sharp family’s future is your future, too. Don’t worry—if we do well, I’ll have your father give you five percent of the shares.”
