Nathalie came back to the Stewart Estate after combing every corner of the city for Nina and finding nothing. The moment she stepped inside, Ford and Dominick gave her a look that was impossible to miss.
She ran her hand over her face, confused. “Do I have something on my face? Why are you staring at me like that?”
Dominick quickly ducked behind Ford, shoving him forward. “Ford, you tell her.”
Ford, never one to mince words, blurted out, “Boss, you’re trending online today.”
Nathalie sighed, rubbing her temples. “I’m the CEO of Stewart Enterprises. Trending is part of the job. What’s so special about it this time?”
Ford hesitated. “Usually, you’re trending because of your business wins—good news, big achievements. But today…”
He scratched his head. “Boss, it’s better if you just look at your phone.”
Nathalie pulled out her phone. Instantly, her screen was flooded with headlines like: “Stewart Enterprises’ Iron Lady Can’t Forget Her Ex—Spotted in the Slums Visiting Former Husband!” and “The Crown Prince and the Stewart Heiress: A Reunion for the Ages!” The stories were packed with photos and “evidence.” Down below, the comments section was blowing up with gossip.
Nathalie stared, dumbfounded. “Who took these pictures?”
The paparazzi had outdone themselves, using clever angles and blurry backgrounds to make it look as if she and Cameron were standing way too close, like he was reaching out to touch her cheek.
The way Cameron looked at her in those shots—it was pure romance, at least as far as the internet could see. It left plenty for people to gossip about.
“Boss, I’m sorry,” Dominick jumped in. “Ford and I were tied up looking for Nina all afternoon, so we didn’t have time to look into who’s behind all this online noise.”
