Reborn From Oblivion (Nellie and Cameron) novel Chapter 954

Jules went white as a ghost and just crumpled to the floor, looking totally defeated.

But his mother wasn’t done with him yet. “So now that you’re sitting pretty at the top, you think family and friendship mean nothing? Nathalie is your old friend’s daughter—how could you stand by and let your people bully her, all to protect your company?”

“If Lincoln saw what you’ve become, do you think he’d still call you a friend?”

“Jules, what happened to you? When did you get so cold?”

Jules was trembling. “Mother, I’m begging you… please, stop.”

She let out a heavy sigh.

Meanwhile, Jackson just stood there, looking completely stunned. “Mother, are you saying Morris is really his son? Do you have any proof?”

“We’d need a paternity test to be sure,” he pressed.

She shot him a glare. “I said Morris is a Sharp, and that’s that. If any of you try to force him into a paternity test and hurt my grandson, you’ll have to answer to me.”

Jackson bristled. “Mother, you’re being unreasonable.”

His mother fixed him with a look. “I know exactly what scares you, Jackson. You’re worried that if Morris has a son, the Vincent Corporation will go to him, and all your plotting will be for nothing. Isn’t that true?”

Jackson’s guilty face gave him away.

She didn’t soften. “I told you: you and Morris will compete, fair and square. My word stands. Whoever wins gets the Vincent Corporation.”

Jackson grumbled, “If Morris has his own son, he’ll obviously side with him against me.”

She just shrugged. “That’s your fate. Don’t blame anyone else.”

With that, she turned and swept out of the room.

Stewart Estate.

After Nathalie drove Morris home, he crashed and slept like a rock.

“Was anyone with him when he died?” she asked, voice trembling.

Greta shook her head. “No one.”

“Is there anything else you know?” Nathalie grabbed her arm, desperate for more.

Greta gave her a sly look. “I’ve told you plenty. Now it’s your turn—where’s Cameron?”

Nathalie slumped. “I’ve hidden him. If you want to see him, you need to tell me how to change Nathan’s fate.”

Greta snapped, “Nathalie, I’m not some miracle worker. How am I supposed to change Morris’s destiny?”

Nathalie’s eyes were red, glistening with tears.

“Please, Greta… I’m begging you…”

Greta just laughed, bitter and sharp. “Never thought I’d see you like this. But Nathalie, begging won’t change anything. I really don’t know how to save Morris.”
