Chapter 30
Jensina was young, had a good temper, and was serious and responsible with patients,
Men
Over the years, quite a few patients tried to set her up. Later, she just kept her wedding ring on all the time, and those uncles and aunties finally stopped.
Jensina remembered this grandma who worried herself sick over her grandson’s wedding.
She didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, Bridget, I was getting a divorce…”
“Leave!”
Bridget looked serious and spoke loudly, “Yeah, you should leave! I heard it all on the phone just now, but I didn’t mean to, sorry.”
“But let me tell you, Grandma said, a man who cheated was the worst. If you didn’t get a divorce, you’d just suffer more.”
“Yeah.”
Jensina always felt that these wrinkled hands in hers had a warmth that only existed in her blurry memories.
Her voice unconsciously softened, “I know, I’m already going through the divorce.”
Then he reached out and put his hand on the inside of Bridget’s wrist, changing the subject, “You’ve been feeling a lot better these days, right?”
Very, very good. The medicine you gave worked really well.”
Bridget waved her hand and brought the topic back.“Let me tell you, you’re so young, you don’t need to be afraid of divorce or anything.”
Jensina laughed and joked, “You wanted to introduce your grandson to me?”
Bridget actually got serious, “How did you know?”
“Grandma, I was married before, you better think it over.” Jensina laughed.
“I thought it through, I thought it through.”
Bridget thought she was great in every way, kept a straight face and said, “It’s not your fault you got divorced. What’s wrong with getting married again.”
“My grandson didn’t have a good personality, he was a quiet one, and maybe he wasn’t even good enough for you!”
Jensina couldn’t help but laugh, “Are we prescribing medicine again this time?”
“Open it, open it, just open it for three days, I’ll come back after three days.”
Bridget looked at her kindly and stuffed a talisman into her hand without giving her a chance to refuse, “I just got this from Solace Church this morning. Take it, it’ll definitely keep you safe and sound from now on.”
After Bridget left, the little nurse at the door couldn’t help teasing.
“Sina, this grandma wasn’t here for medicine, she was here to find a granddaughter–in–law.”
Jensina smiled and said, “Worrying about your grandson is just human nature.”
Just didn’t know how bad this jerk’s personality really was.
To have my grandma say that herself.
Jensina usually only worked in the mornings. Gertrude happened to have a day off today and came to the clinic at noon to wait for her to get off work.
The two of them agreed to go eat and shop.
It was Fredric’s birthday that night, and I went to pick up the gift I was going to give him.
“Such a big move?”

Gertrude was a bit surprised when she saw the custom pen she got from the store.
Master custom–made.
There was a market but no price.
Jensina also got to cut in line because of Pierre’s connections.
Jensina chuckled, “Last year on my birthday, Fredric gave me an expensive gift, so I had to return the favor.”
“The circles of rich people, you really couldn’t fit in without some money.”
Gertrude sighed.
Jensina totally agreed, “No idea how long my little bit of money will last.”
But she didn’t need to worry about this, either.
Estella must have tried everything to find a new Mrs. Hardwick.
As long as the person was decided, no one would ask her to join this kind of game again.
Otherwise, it would’ve been so awkward.
Fredric’s birthday party was set at Euphoria Club.
There were quite a few people. When Jensina walked into the big private room, she glanced around–it was almost all old acquaintances.
But it wasn’t her old acquaintance.
It was Coleman’s, and it was Stanley’s too.

These people, except for Fredric who was nice to her, the rest… if she ever fell out with Coleman too, they probably wouldn’t even look her in the eye if they ran into her on the street.
“Hey, it was rare for you to bring your bestie over.”
Fredric had a good personality and was warm to Gertrude too.“Just relax and have fun.”
Jensina smiled, “Yeah, she happened to have the day off today, so she came along.”
There were quite a few people in the hall, and Jensina pulled Gertrude into the inner room to get some peace and quiet.
“That’s so funny, I was wondering why she went inside as soon as she got here, turns out she was just afraid of embarrassing herself.”
“You just found out? If she was still Stanley’s sister, the Hardwick family would at least care a bit, but she fell out with Stanley, so marrying into the Hardwick family would just be her trying to climb up. Coleman wanted to get back with his true love, so of course she could only watch helplessly.”
Jensina just wanted to watch the drama, but as she listened, she realized the drama was actually about her.
“Then what do you think she was staying for if she still didn’t get a divorce?”
“She was just after money, what else could it be? She was just a nobody doctor with no background. She spent the first half of her life clinging
to the Herring family, and for the rest of her life, she was definitely gonna hold on tight to the Hardwick family.”
Gertrude’s face went dark when she heard that, and when she was about to get up, Jensina grabbed her.
“It’s fine, I’ll go.”
When she finished speaking, Jensina got up and left.
The two of them had their backs to the inner room and didn’t see her come out. They were still chatting away.
“Hey, her face looked so innocent, but I didn’t expect her to be so scheming, just thinking about leeching off others.”
“What do you think? She was an orphan, grew up without her parents‘ guidance, what good could she be…”
Jensina lightly tapped one of them on the shoulder and joined in, “What are you guys talking about? Who’s not a good catch?”

“Who else could it be, just that Jensina…”
The guy was talking and turned his head. When he saw Jensina’s face, he suddenly looked like a chicken with its neck grabbed.
Menur
Guilt flashed across her face. She cleared her throat and tried to act calm as she glanced to the other side of the room, “We were talking about that Juanita, you know. How could she knowingly be a mistress? So shameless, hanging out with your husband so openly.”
Started to stand up for Jensina.
Jensina followed her gaze and saw that Coleman had shown up at some point, with Juanita sitting next to him.
People who didn’t know would think they were the couple.
