Pregnant with Tycoon's Ex Kneels novel Chapter 49

Chapter 49

Jensina didn’t feel like arguing with her. She just looked at Eliza:“Grandma, this has already been reported to the police, and they’re still investigating.”

“Don’t try to twist the truth!”

Juanita was furious and spoke like a protective mom:“When Josh got hurt, you were the only one there. If it wasn’t you, then who was it? It’s been days and you haven’t even gone to the hospital to see him. If that’s not a guilty conscience, then what is?”

Jensina didn’t expect she could be so much of a bandit logic.

Eliza gave Jensina a sharp look and said in a cold tone, “Jensina, is that what Juanita said?”

“Yes, but I didn’t feel guilty like a thief…”

“Alright!”

Eliza cut her off and said coldly, “No matter how unhappy you and Juanita are with each other, the kid is innocent. There are a lot of g today, so go reflect in the ancestral hall by yourself for the night.”

The Hardwick family ancestral hall was, first, for honoring the ancestors, and second, for the family rules.

In the corner of the backyard, it was pretty secluded.

It was cold in winter and hot in summer.

Although it wasn’t like the Herring family making her kneel on the gravel road, staying in the ancestral hall for a night in this freezing winter would at least give her a high fever.

Jensina looked up at Coleman. Seeing he didn’t react, she pulled at her lips.

“Grandma, even though I was the only one there at the time, I did it because…”

She was just about to talk back when things suddenly got really lively over by the stairs.

The Hardwick family all looked over when they heard the sound, and Jensina just realized that Stanley had shown up at some point.

Wherever the Herring family’s young master went, he was always surrounded by people. Right now, a bunch of socialites were crowding around him, trying to flatter and please him.

He seemed to be in a good mood today, and he didn’t just ignore me or brush me off like he usually did.

It was probably because I brought a girl with me today.

Marisol wore a perfectly tailored gown that showed off her waist and hips, and stood next to Stanley, holding his arm.

His girlfriend…

It turned out it was Marisol.

Gentle and smart, she was a good match for him.

Jensina calmly looked away, then heard Eliza laugh and say, “Didn’t expect you to come in person.”

“I’m not coming. My sister was wronged to death. Who am I supposed to talk to about it?”

Stanley smiled and replied, kind of joking, kind of serious.

Hearing that, everyone there was stunned.

Since they fell out, this was the first time Stanley admitted in public that they were siblings.

In the past, it wasn’t like no one ever hinted at it.

But Stanley never gave a straight answer.

Only Jensina kept her eyes on her nose and her nose on her heart, quietly staring at the floor like she didn’t hear anything.

She couldn’t figure out Stanley’s thoughts a long time ago.

Mar

But now, with the Hardwick family in front and Wilfred behind, she wasn’t stupid enough to fall out with him in front of so many people.

Eliza wanted to give Jensina a look so she could smooth things over.

She didn’t even spare him a glance, so he just shot a sideways look at Juanita.

Juanita clenched her palms and spoke awkwardly, “Mr. Herring, I was just making some personal guesses. I didn’t mean to accuse Sina of anything. After all, she’s my sister–in–law.”

“Ms. Galvan,”

Marisol gave a slight smile, half reminding and half warning, “Since you know it’s just guessing, don’t say it out loud next time. If Sina got upset, Mr. Herring, as her brother, would definitely get mad.”

“Marisol, at the end of the day, we’re all family.”

Coleman spoke with ease, “Juanita just spoke without thinking for a moment, the Hardwick family definitely wouldn’t let Sina be wronged.”

“That was definitely the best.”

Marisol meant Stanley, and she smiled and brought birthday wishes to Eliza, “Eliza, wish you endless happiness and longevity.”

“Thanks a lot.”

Eliza smiled and nodded, looked at Stanley, and said, “It’s rare to see a girl with you. Is something good happening soon?”

Marisol’s cheeks turned red and she didn’t say anything, just waited for Stanley to respond.

Since they came over, Jensina didn’t even move her eyes once the whole time.

She felt like she was here, but also kind of out of place.

Coleman was always standing up for Juanita, one way or another.

The spot next to Stanley used to be someone else too.

She didn’t even know where to look. No matter how you looked at it, she was the extra one.

“Ms. Warren,”

She was feeling awkward when Marisol suddenly stood in front of her, grabbed her hand like they were old friends, and said, “Remember me?”

Jensina nodded, “I remember.”

Stanley’s secretary.

Others might have been surprised. Someone as cold as Stanley was supposed to keep work and personal life separate, so it seemed impossible

for him to date a subordinate.

But Jensina knew he was just someone who did whatever he wanted.

When he wanted to spoil someone, not to mention keeping them around as a subordinate, he could even be that person’s subordinate.

He had the ability to spoil people rotten.

Then…
