Frank asked, "What would make Aaron take Noelle away if he just held a grudge against you? Is he trying to threaten you into giving back the island to him?"
Carl fell silent for a while before replying. "He doesn't just want the island back. He wants my life, too."
He had once schemed against Aaron and stolen everything from him after all. Carl arranged for someone to contact the warlord to try to find out about what was going on with the submarine.
Soon enough, Cedric received news about it. "Carl found out about the submarine in no time, just as we expected."
They followed through with their original plan and passed a message to Carl under the guise of the former manager of the island, Aaron Fetterman. They figured that Aaron would likely be the one person Carl feared and worried about the most at that point.
Carl soon received a message from the military. "Our friend said he's an old friend of yours who went through hell and back just to come back for you. He wants to talk to you."
Carl slumped into his chair after hearing the reply and remained motionless for a long time. He had held onto a sliver of hope, thinking that it could not possibly be Aaron.
His heart sank after receiving confirmation of his worst fears. "What do I do now?"
Frank was getting anxious. "This doesn't make any sense. We were all on the yacht, remember?
"He could've just had someone blow it up if he just wanted to get revenge by killing you. Why go through all this trouble to kidnap Noelle?"
Carl was losing his mind. "You don't know just how terrifying Aaron can be. He did it on purpose. He knows how much I care about Noelle, so he took her away to torture me."
"Then when are you going to get in contact with him? He wants to talk to you, right? Maybe we'll find out what he wants after you talk to him."
