Eugene looked at Mia and replied, "They're still asleep."

Mia froze up for a moment and then immediately understood what Eugene was trying to say. His lips curled up slightly as he continued, "Do you want to wake them up?"

Mia glared at him and replied, "I heard that the local women around there will go for a one-night stand with any men they fancy. So? Did anyone knock on your door last night?"

"Yeah, there was."

Mia was surprised. "Seriously?!"

"I'd be lying to you if I said no."

"Hmph, I'm in a good mood right now, so I won't argue with you about it." The weight on Mia's heart was lifted now that Noelle had finally been saved.

After chatting with Mia for a while, Eugene heard a commotion coming from a distance and said, "I gotta go. We'll talk later."

Although Noelle was safely retrieved, the operation was still far from over. Carl had made quite the ruckus throughout the night. It was clear that he was not going to let Noelle get away easily.

People started pouring into the port nonstop and began to search everywhere for Noelle. Fortunately, Cedric and Eugene had already arranged alternate identities for themselves and Noelle.

Eugene called Cedric, who picked up immediately. "Hello?"

Eugene replied, "Someone's coming. Keep yourselves safe."

"Got it."

Cedric hung up right after. He had already expected this to happen and was fully prepared for it. This time, he wanted to let Carl experience the same despair he had once suffered.

Noelle had put on a change of clothes by then. She walked over to Cedric and asked, "What's going on?"

"Carl's men are here."
