Noelle figured she should have realized it much earlier.
For someone as intelligent as Cedric, there was no way he hadn't figured it out after hearing her talk about the dream and seeing everything that'd happened since. Yet every time, he chose to gently dissolve her unease.
He always knew exactly when she was anxious and could always see right through her inner turmoil.
She looked at him and softly asked, "Have I ever told you how much I like you?" The love she had for him ran really, really deep.
Cedric lowered his head and kissed her gently. Out of the corner of her eye, Noelle spotted green leaves fluttering outside the window. It seemed spring had arrived.

Later that evening, she received updates from Mia. As it turned out, Eason did know where the money was hidden.
Through the phone, Mia said, "But after we spread the rumor about Ivy double-crossing her people, some of them have started hunting Eason down. He's in danger right now, so Eugene arranged for him to be moved abroad.
"But before he leaves, he wants to see Ivy one last time."
"Are you going to take him to the hospital?" Noelle asked.
"Yeah."
"I'll come, too. Another pair of hands won't hurt."
After hanging up, Noelle looked at Cedric, who lay in bed. "I'll be back soon. Get some rest, and once you're discharged, we'll take that beach vacation."
He looked at her and finally nodded. "Be careful."
