HIS REGRET (Ex-Husband wants Me Back) novel Chapter 894

"Move!" one of the men who had gotten out earlier ordered.

"No!" Naomi refused, her gaze openly defiant. She looked at Falcon with every bit of courage she had left.

"Is that so?" Falcon stepped closer, and in one swift motion, Naomi was in his arms. He simply hoisted her over his shoulder. It was not the way a man treated a woman at all, but as though he were carrying an object that already belonged to him.

Falcon paid no attention whatsoever to Naomi's protests. The girl remained slung over his shoulder as he strode steadily into the old building. Naomi struggled repeatedly, pounding Falcon's back with her bound hands and even kicking at the air in the hope of throwing him off balance.

But all of her resistance seemed utterly meaningless.

"Let me go!" she shouted.

Falcon did not answer.

Instead, he gripped both of Naomi's legs to keep her from kicking him again. The movement was not gentle, but it was not rough enough to hurt her either. It was as though he was merely restraining someone who kept trying to run away.

The corridor they walked through was quite long. Dim yellow lights illuminated the old walls, which had been repaired several times over. From the outside, the building had looked like an abandoned house, but the interior was far better maintained than Naomi had expected. Several men stood guard at every intersection of the hallways. Others stood near the staircase, carrying weapons.

Naomi forced herself to remember everything. The faces of the guards. The location of every door. Every turn in the corridor they had passed through. There were at least eight people inside the building, not including those standing guard outside.

Falcon pushed open a large wooden door.

The room was completely different from the building's exterior. A large bed stood in the middle of the room. Cream-colored curtains covered every window. A long sofa faced an unlit fireplace. The thing that contrasted most with the atmosphere of the room was the fresh flowers placed on a small table near the window.

As though they had been deliberately placed there to brighten the gloomy room.

Although everything looked comfortable, to Naomi, the place was no different from a prison.

Falcon finally set Naomi down on the edge of the bed. The moment both of her feet touched the floor, Naomi immediately scooted backward to the middle of the bed.

Their eyes met again.

"Don't come any closer!" Naomi warned, her eyes wide with alarm. "I'm warning you, Falcon!"
