Naomi let out a dismissive laugh, one that carried both mockery and traces of despair and anger. "Let him."

The maid hesitated, anxiously wringing her fingers together. "But..."

"Tell him," Naomi finally turned around and looked the maid straight in the eyes with an unwavering gaze. "I won't touch anything that comes from him."

The elderly woman bit her lower lip. She looked as though she wanted to say something, perhaps a warning about how dangerous Falcon was, but in the end, she chose to remain silent and hurried out of the room.

Naomi's stubbornness apparently reached her captor's ears immediately. Only a few minutes after the maid left, the bedroom door opened again, and Falcon himself walked in. His heavy footsteps carried an unmistakable air of intimidation.

His eyes immediately fell on the food tray, still untouched. "Not to your liking?"
