Hayley’s POV:
Darn it! That jerk actually played me!
As I gritted my teeth and inhaled sharply in frustration, I flipped my wrist to reveal the silver needle hidden in my sleeve.
All that effort was for nothing–I had brought him back from miles away, believing I was doing him a favor.
Should I make him suffer like those rogues, every nerve screaming in pain? Or maybe I should go for the lower blow, ruin his manhood, and make sure he never dares to flirt with another woman again?
Since he took advantage of me like that, the least I could do was devise the perfect punishment.
And then it hit me.

I caught on immediately and shot a quick glance at Truman–out cold and entirely at my mercy. “Of course,” I said firmly. “He couldn’t win, so I took him down. What you’re seeing now is the result. And honestly, I hope this helps you see his true colors.”
“He’s an Alpha, and you took him down? An Omega like you?” Melody looked at me skeptically, lifting one eyebrow again.
There was something off about her tone–like she knew more than she let on. What d

I shook my head and offered her a serious suggestion. “Yes. That guy’s nothing but a player. If he’s not your destined mate, you’d be better off ditehing him and picking someone loyal.”
“Oh, and I’m starting a new company,” I added. “If you’re willing, I’d love for you to come work for me.
