Chapter 836 Silver Instead of Red 

Celine’s POV: 

My mind was completely blank. All my plans, all my thoughts about Hayley–none of it mattered anymore. 

I just wanted to use Mom’s death to embarrass Hayley, to ruin her reputation in front of everyone. 

But I never imagined I’d end up losing my dad, the person who loved me most! 

This isn’t what I wanted, not at all! 

Our family is already on shaky ground. If Dad dies, I’ll be the only Walton left. How am I supposed to hold onto our family’s legacy by myself?! 

A wave of panic crashed over me. 

If it wasn’t for Hayley, none of this would’ve happened! 

She killed my dad–I want her to pay for it! 

Right now, nothing else matters. I need to make Hayley pay with her life! 

I sniffed, my wolf eyes narrowing, claws sharp as I stood up, ready to go after Hayley with everything I had. 

But just before I could turn around, a gentle yet determined voice cut through the noisy hall. 

“Please let me through. I know some first aid. The ambulance won’t get here fast enough–let me treat the patient right away.” 

I recognized Hayley’s voice instantly! 

She killed my dad, and now she has the nerve to act like she’s here to save him? 

I spun around, glaring in the direction of her voice with all the hatred I could muster. 

But I didn’t see Hayley in the red dress I’d imagined. 

She was wearing a sparkling silver gown, looking so beautiful she could’ve been a mermaid just stepping onto land. All the other women around her seemed to fade into the background. 

What was going on?! She wasn’t wearing red! 

So who made Dad so angry?
