A Divorce He Regrets (Raina and Alexander) novel Chapter 336

“Hey babe,” I greeted casually, pulling her closer to me like I owned the moment.

She jerked away from me like I was poison. “Don’t touch me.”

The guy looked at her, then at me, confused.

“You didn’t tell me that you had a boyfriend,” he remarked slowly, each word filled with suspicion.

“No, I don’t,” she cut in quickly… too quickly. Her eyes snapped to me with a glare that couldn’t burn skin, and damn… I couldn’t stop the disappointment from creeping in. She was so quick to deny me… wow. “He’s nothing to me,” she added sharply, and it felt like a dagger was being pushed through my chest.

I smirked, but the anger twisted in my stomach. “Great,” the fucker grinned, a big smug smile plastered on his lips as he gave her a quick nod. “Later, Ava.”

“Bye, Isaac,” she called sweetly as he walked away.

Issac. His name was Issac. Fine, I’ll remember that. And I would make sure to deal with him later.

“Who was that?” I asked, turning to fully face her.

“Fuck off, Kye,” she threw ohert her shoulders, shoving past me. “It’s none of your fucking business.”

“It is now,” l called after her, voice like steel. “From now on you have a boyfriend. And that’s me.”

She flipped me off without turning back and I followed. I didn’t say, instead I walked faster and I grabbed onto her hand before I turned her around and kissed her hard on the lips.

She struggled against me and tried to talk but I only kissed her harder. I had no idea why… or maybe I did, but I wanted to ruin her plans for tonight with that idiot.

So when I pulled away from her, I didn’t wait for her to talk before I did. “I got us tickets to go see a movie,” I grinned, gently running my hand down her arm. “We’re going out.” That’s a lie.

But luck finally smiled on me when she got up and excused barked to the bathroom, and I slipped in after her.

The restaurant was dim, quiet and warm. I moved fast.

She turned the corner to the back hallway and walked into the bathroom. She was washing her hands when I walked in and locked the door behind me, trapping her.

She stopped dead when she raised her head and saw me leaning against the bathroom door. Good.

Her whole body froze. “What the hell are you doing here?”

“Did you really think I would let you date anyone else?” I growled, my voice low, cold, coiling like a trap and my smile deadly.
