A Divorce He Regrets (Raina and Alexander) novel Chapter 287

I gave no response.

The door of the safe slowly opened, letting out a squeaky sound. It hung lazily off it hinges and when I pulled it open even further, and it revealed stack upon stack of documents, hard drives and even flash drive.

I knelt down and reached inside then I started bring all of it out, my eyes scanning over each and every paper until I saw it and I froze in place.

My face paled and my heart started pounding wildly against my ribcage.

All the proof I needed was right there.

Cale’s signed confessions, different medical reports and even court sealed documents.

I found documents that proved that Cale killed not only my parents but Nathan’s as well.

This was what we needed. It was the key to getting Raina back.

My mouth fell open and I couldn’t beleive what I was reading. How can someone be so cruel to the point that he could kill his own sibling?

My heart fell and my stomach twisted into knots as I read the contents of the documents over and over again.

And I thought that was the worst thing that I could find until my eyes landed on different unlabeled videotapes.

I was curious and wanted to know the content in it so I decide not waste another minute.

“Bring the laptop,” I immediately said into the earpiece, ordering one of the men to bring in the laptop my guy had asked me to carry along with me.

“Yes sir,” the guy on the other hand replied and I impatiently waited for him to arrive.

After what felt like forever, he walked into the room and I thought that Carter would be behind him since he wanted to know what I was doing but to my surprise, the guy was alone.

I pushed the thoughts aside, grabbed the laptop from the man and went to seat on the bed before I dropped the laptop in front of me and shoved the videotape into the laptop.

Nathan’s faurger turned red with rage and he got up as he charger towards Cale but before he could take another step forward, Cale shot the man in the head too, blowing his brains out.

He killed them both and he recorded it like a goddamn trophy.

My hands trembled as I pulled the drive out of the laptop’s port. I forgot how to breathe, hell, I couldn’t understand what was going on with me. I wanted to scream, I wanted to punch something, I wanted to cry all at once. But I didn’t have anytime for that, I couldn’t let such a cruel and vile man remain free for any longer.

I got up from the bed and stormed out of the room, my hands balled into fist and my blood boiling.

“This is surely the key to putting that man behind bar forever,” I whispered to myself. “It’s finally time to put an end to all of this.”

I didn’t wait for Carter to decide what was next or to release an official statement.

I called the press myself.

By the end of the days, it was the headline on every news station channel.
