A Divorce He Regrets (Raina and Alexander) novel Chapter 280

Realizing that they were taking their fucking time which in turn was wasting mine, I decided to give them a call.

I pulled out my other phone that couldn’t be tracked and dialed Alex’s number this time around.

The fool answered my call almost immediately like he had been waiting for me to call.

“Nathan,” Alex basically growled into the phone, his voice shaking with anger. “Where the fuck did you take my wife to?”

I let out an amused and mocking laugh.

“Oh please Alex,” I said through laughter. “There’s no need for all of these that you’re doing. I’m a reasonable man aren’t I?”

“You’re dead. I’m going to kill you with my hands,” he barked. “Do you hear me? You’re going to die right in my fucking hands.”

“Ouu, I’m scared,” I replied sarcastically. “Do you really want to see your pretty little wife again with the way you’re behaving? Don’t you love her enough to want to see her alive?”

He paused and I could practically see him trying to hold himself back from speaking. A choked sound of anger, regret and desperation that was all tangled up together came through the phone and I smiled to myself.

It sounded like music to my ears. The best kind.

“Have you now made your decision?” I asked, my voice light as I played with the lighter in my hand, swirling it around.

No response.

Good. Now they were listening after they realized what was at stake. They were too desperate and they’ll do anything I ask of them.

“I’ll take your silence as a yes,” I continued. “I’ll send you an address and I expect you to meet me there in less than an hour. And remember my warning about not bringing friends, if not, I’ll blow off the heads of your wives. Don’t be late either.”

Without waiting for a response, I hung up.

I got up and walked to where my men were waiting before giving them a sharp nod.

“Time to move them,” I ordered.

Crying uncontrollably, she raised her trembling hands, picked the pen and signed on everywhere that required her signature.

I was mad that I had to threaten her with the death of Alex before she complied but I was happy that it was finally done.

I kissed her forehead roughly, ignoring the way she recoiled because I knew that very soon, she’d be craving my touch.

Not long after that, I heard the sound of tires against the gravel outside.

The sacrificial lambs had brought themselves to the slaughter house.

I walked out and I watched as Alex and Dominic got down from the same car. They were both red with anger and I could practically see the smoke coming from their heads.

Their eyes fell on me at the same time and I smirked when I saw the anger and fear swimming in their eyes.

“Nathan!” They both called in unison.
