Lemira spent a while in her parents' room before finally stepping out and closing the door behind her.
She could hear Evelina crying and complaining somewhere nearby—clearly upset about being forced to switch rooms.
This only improved Lemira’s mood.
After all, if the “two-faced” girl was unhappy, Lemira was delighted.
Lemira watched the scene coldly, thinking: Tomorrow, the “two-faced” girl will have even less to smile about.
She turned and returned to her own room, locking the door behind her.
First, Lemira carefully inspected the room for surveillance devices. Once she was certain there weren’t any, she called Debby. “Is everything in place? Asher will make the transfer tomorrow.”
“Everything’s arranged. As soon as Evelina moves the company funds, we’ll be able to trace the account straight to the culprit.”
“Perfect. The CEO of PZ Group will be there tomorrow as well. He’s always so elusive—this is the perfect opportunity to investigate him properly.”
“Really? That’s great news. I’ll report to Mr. Everhart and get everything set up.”
At the mention of Orion, Lemira paused for a moment. “Alright.”
She had never intended to keep any of this from Orion anyway.
With his help, things would definitely go much more smoothly.
After hanging up, Lemira stared at the ceiling. Everything was ready.
The next morning, Lemira slept in.
She was awakened by a commotion outside. After getting dressed, she went downstairs and saw the living room filled with wedding dresses.
Evelina wore a sour expression. “These are all just studio rental dresses, not my couture gown. If word gets out and my friends see this, I’ll be a laughingstock.”
Evelina had been so angry, she hadn’t slept all night.
After all, Lemira had shredded her custom-made gown—just thinking about it made Evelina’s heart ache.
Evander was trying to comfort her. “Eve, I’ve already sent someone to look for another one, but it’s such short notice that we might not find anything in time. For now, just pick one of these as a backup.”
Lemira glanced at Evander. “This entire villa belongs to me. I’ll sit wherever I please. If you have a problem with it, the door’s right there. Feel free to leave.”
Evander’s face turned red with anger.
Evelina burst into tears. “Evander, my own wedding is turning into a nightmare.”
Evander jabbed a finger at Lemira and snapped, “You ruined someone else’s property, so you should be the one to pay for it.”
Lucian walked over. “There’s no time for this drama. What’s the point of arguing?”
“Lucian, isn’t Lemira close with the Everhart heir? With the Everhart family’s connections, finding a limited-edition wedding dress should be a breeze, right?” Evander said.
Evelina’s eyes lit up with hope. “Exactly! If Mr. Everhart is willing to help, it’ll be a piece of cake.”
Lucian hesitated, then looked at Lemira. “Lemmy, why don’t you ask Mr. Everhart?”
Lemira let out a laugh, her eyes full of mockery.
She answered coolly, “Why should I? You all tried to take over my parents’ room, knowing full well what kind of person I am—and you still chose to provoke me. Well, you brought this on yourselves!”
