Elena's face stiffened, and every bit of her good mood vanished on the spot.

"Hmph." She let out a cold snort. "Wren, just worry about yourself. I'll do whatever I want. Since when is it your place to tell me what to do?"

With Cecilia standing right there, Wren's face turned grim.

"How did you turn into this?" he said, then walked off with his hands clasped behind his back.

The second he was gone, Elena hurriedly turned to Cecilia.

"Ceci, come on. Let's go see Robert."

Cecilia naturally couldn't refuse.

As soon as she got into the car and they headed to see Robert, she immediately pulled out her phone and sent Nathaniel a message.

Not for any other reason.

"Nathaniel, why are you here too? Weren't you out handling work?"

"I finished up. Ceci said you were coming to visit Uncle, so I came along on the way," Nathaniel said.

Elena nodded.

"So that's what it was. Good. Let's go in together and see him."
