Felicia gently grasped Ava's hands. "Mom, I'm doing perfectly fine." Even though she couldn't remember the past, the overwhelming warmth radiating from her family was undeniable.

Ava let out a massive sigh of relief. Felicia looked healthy and even seemed to have gained a little weight. "As long as you're alright."

Felicia turned to Colton. "Dad."

Colton nodded, his expression softening. "It's good that you're home."

Her gaze then shifted to Darin and Greg. "Hi, Darin, Greg." Max had briefed her in the car that alongside Darin, she also had an older brother named Greg.

Anne cheerfully greeted each of the elders in turn.

Darin noticed the sheer number of premium gifts Max was carrying. It genuinely looked like a formal family visit. However, neither Colton nor Ava had any intention of acknowledging Max. They simply ushered Felicia and Anne inside, leaving him standing there.

Greg followed them in without a word. Darin and Max trailed behind.

"At least you know your manners," Darin remarked dryly.

Max threw him a sidelong glance and casually tossed one of the heavy gift bags right at him. Caught off guard, Darin hastily scrambled to catch it. "You, on the other hand, have absolutely no manners," Max retorted.

Darin gripped the bag firmly. "You're the only one arrogant enough to act out of line with me."
