The Impossible Divorce novel Chapter 9

Sophia's eyes were a little dizzy, her arms were burned badly, and her body was emitting a bone-chilling cold from the cracks in her bones, causing her entire body to feel uncomfortable.

Chloe stared fiercely into Sophia's eyes and said, "Sophia, remember this! Be obedient in front of me in the future, otherwise, neither Brady nor I will let you off!"

With that, she snorted coldly and left proudly.

Sophia felt pain all over her body. Her arms hurt, her heart hurt, and her stomach hurt...

She hugged her arms and slowly squatted down on the edge of the bed. She endured the pain and closed her eyes.

She had not hung up the phone with Mia. Mia had listened to Chloe's words clearly on the other side of the phone. She was extremely angry for Sophia, but she did not dare to speak casually because she was afraid that someone would find out that Sophia had hidden a phone.

She could only pinch her phone and get angry.

She also knew that Brady hated Sophia, but she didn't expect him to be so vicious. He allowed his lover to come to bully Sophia, even splashed her with boiling water!

He was so vicious. If this continued, Sophia would sooner or later die at his hands.

The more Mia thought about it, the more worried she became. With a thought, she made a private decision.

After hanging up Sophia's phone, she turned around and called Eric...

The longer the scald on her arm lasted, the more painful it was. It was as if there was a cluster of flames burning on her skin continuously. The lingering pain made Sophia sweat profusely, and she almost wanted to cry.

She endured the pain and went into the bathroom to rinse the cold water for half an hour, barely alleviating the pain. Her entire arm was red and swollen, and there were many terrifying blisters on it.

This scald must be treated outside.

Sophia opened the door and went to the living room. After confirming that Chloe had fallen asleep, she returned to the grocery room and took out her phone to go to the pharmacy to buy medicine.

At the same time, her phone trembled slightly in her palm. A text message was sent in, asking her to meet in the woods.

Sophia glanced at the ferocious wound on her arm. She didn't want Mia to discover it and worry about her, so she excused herself as inconvenient.

However, Mia's attitude was resolute. She directly said that if Sophia did not go out tonight, she would come directly to her home tomorrow.

Sophia had no choice but to agree with Mia and then go back to her room to change into a long-sleeved shirt to cover the wound before leaving.

She went to a private clinic nearby to treat her wound.

The doctor looked at her injury and said worriedly, "Your wound is a little serious. You should go to a big hospital. The small clinic, can't handle it."

How dare Sophia go to the big hospital? She can't hang up without a certificate.

"Please take care of it for me, doctor. I'll go to the hospital later." Sophia found an excuse to let the doctor roughly treat the scald and at least burst those terrifying looking blisters. After applying medicine, Sophia put on her shirt and was about to leave when she suddenly raised her hand to cover her lower abdomen. After a moment of hesitation, she said to the doctor, "Can you prescribe a pregnancy test for me?"

Coming out of the clinic, Sophia was dumbfounded at the entrance of the street, her fingers pressed tightly on her still flat lower abdomen, her face filled with confusion.

She's really pregnant...

What should she do?

Give birth to him? Impossible!

Since Brady hated her so much, he definitely wouldn't treat her child well, so the child couldn't be born.

Kill him?

No!

Sophia bit her lips forcefully. The child was innocent. She couldn't just abort him...

Sophia's heart warmed as she smiled gently at Eric, "Thank you."

Eric curled his lips and smiled gently like a big brother. He raised his hand and gently rubbed Sophia's hair. "Sophia, I've said it before. No matter what trouble you have, as long as you speak, I will help you. This is a lifetime commitment."

Sophia was touched and guilty. She knew that Eric treated her well, but she really didn't know how to repay him.

With Eric's help, all the problems could be easily solved. He guaranteed that he would be able to find out the whereabouts of Sophia's younger brother within three days and move away. At that time, he would personally come to pick up Sophia and leave the villa.

As long as she waited for another three days, she would be able to leave Brady completely.

Sophia unconsciously raised her hand and pressed down on her lower abdomen. In her heart, there was no joy that she would be relieved in the end. Instead, it was an indescribable heavy and twisting pain.

Eric stared at Sophia with complex eyesight. Suddenly, he said gently, "Sophia, can I talk to you alone for a moment?"

Sophia was stunned and subconsciously wanted to refuse.

She knew what Eric was thinking about her. The two of them talking alone... was a little too ambiguous.

But Mia seemed to be doing it on purpose. She immediately got up and said, "You guys talk. I'm leaving first. It's getting late. I need to go back and get a beauty sleep."

In the woods, only the two of them were left.

Sophia's heart was beating nervously and vigilantly. She tried her best to face Eric with a calm expression and calmly asked, "What do you want to talk to me about?"

"Is your arm burned?" Eric's words accurately guessed the truth.

Sophia unnaturally moved her arm and whispered, "It's just a small injury..."

Eric's eyes were deep, as if he sighed lightly. He suddenly took a step closer and directly picked her up like a princess without warning.
