The Impossible Divorce novel Chapter 34

Brady gently made a "shut up" gesture and his gaze fell on Elisa.

Sophia followed his gaze and saw that Elisa was sleeping peacefully. Her loose little vest was lifted onto her shoulders, revealing a scar on her back. Brady grabbed Elisa's sleeping little hand and flapped the fan in his hand.

The reproach in Sophia's mouth rolled a few times in her throat, but she didn't say anything in the end.

The blisters on Elisa's back formed scabs a few days later, and she couldn't help but grab them with her hands. She didn't expect that Brady would sleep in Elisa's room every day to fan the wind and relieve her itching. No wonder she saw the faint black circles under his eyes at dinner tonight.

Sophia's heart was filled with indescribable emotions that spread across her chest, so much so that the man behind her only knew when he held her up.

"What, touched?" Brady whispered in her ear.

Sophia broke away from his embrace and said indifferently, "Don't be so passionate. Even if you break my hand, I won't be soft-hearted."

Brady, who had been torn away by her, looked at her back and smiled. He still remembered the hug he had just received. He smiled silently and said to himself, "Sophia, you're just soft-hearted."

Early the next morning, it was raining heavily outside. When Sophia woke up, she looked all over the house and did not see Brady. A faint sense of disappointment surged in her heart. Indeed, he retreated when facing the difficulties.

Brady, you actually don't love me as much as you think.

The rain outside the window rumbled. Sophia walked to the window and her gaze fell on the small forest downstairs through the rain.

The woods had been there before she moved here, and she had enclosed a small plot of land in front of the house with some small vegetables and a peach tree that she had brought from City A.

At this moment, there was a busy figure next to the peach tree. He was holding a ladder and pulling a plastic sheet to build a shelter for the peach tree to protect it from the wind and rain.

Sophia's heart tightened. Did he still remember?

When they were still in love at college, Sophia often dreamed of her future life "In the future, we will plant a large area of peach trees in front of the house and behind the house. It will definitely be very beautiful when it blooms."

Since he remembered, why wasted so many years?

Sophia's eyes turned cold as she angrily entered Elisa's room.

The door of the living room clicked. Someone came in when Sophia was just about to wake Elisa up to drink. Then, she put on clothes for Elisa with a normal expression.

"It's raining heavily. I'll take you there." Brady said when he saw Sophia carrying Elisa.

Sophia "No, I'll take a taxi."

Brady stopped her. His entire body was dripping with water. He insisted, "The rain is too heavy. Before you get out of the car, you have to get wet. Elisa's illness is still unhealed, and she will have a fever."
