The Heartbreak Prescription (by Glazed Snow) novel Chapter 1130

Ivy smiled and looked at Nathan beside her. "Looks like I really married a great husband."

Nathan looked at Ivy. She was smiling sweetly at him, her red lips curved just right, clearly trying to charm him.

Nathan's thin lips curled slightly, and he let out a quiet laugh.

What did that laugh even mean?

Ivy thought that it was more of a cold laugh, almost as if he was making fun of her. She fell silent, feeling like she had tried to be nice and got nothing in return.

She had never tried to sweet-talk a man before.

Gosh, why were men so hard to deal with? Weren't women supposed to be the difficult ones?

Right then, Madge spoke up. "This is my place. You can drop me off at the next intersection."

Martin hit the brakes.

Madge got out and waved. "See you!"

Ivy waved back. "Bye."

The car kept moving. Half an hour later, it stopped outside the villa. They were home.

Nathan and Ivy got out and went back inside.

Wanda came out quickly to greet them. "Mr. Lowe, Mrs. Lowe, welcome home. Would you like me to prepare dinner?"

"No need," Nathan replied.

Ivy added, "We already ate outside."

Wanda nodded. "Alright. It's getting late. You should both get some rest."

Nathan and Ivy went upstairs and returned to their bedroom.

Ivy picked up her pajamas and turned to Nathan. "I'm going to shower first."

Nathan nodded. "Go ahead. I'll use the guest bathroom."

"Okay."

Ivy went into the bathroom and enjoyed a nice, long bath.

When she came out, Nathan was already done. He stood by the floor-to-ceiling window in a silk robe, holding his phone and typing.

Tonight's goal was clear: Get pregnant as soon as possible.

"Can't you do it tomorrow? It's late. I want you all to myself tonight."

Nathan laughed lightly. "You don't contact me at all during the day, but at night, you practically glue yourself to me. Did you set an alarm to change personalities every night?"

He was joking, but his eyes were studying her closely.

Ivy's heart tightened. She didn't want Nathan to see through her. Until she got pregnant, she had to be careful.

Ivy purred, "You work during the day, and I don't want to bother you. Grandpa always taught me that a good wife supports her husband's career and knows her place."

Nathan snorted. "Your grandpa did a great job. You not only never bother my work, but you even tolerate me having another woman."

Ivy was speechless.

So he was still mad about Lottie.

Ivy finally got annoyed, too.

She decided that if she couldn't calm him down, she would just stop trying.

"Nathan, I really don't understand what you're so angry about!"
