Rebecca had a strong prejudice against traditional medicine. She only knew two traditional medicine practitioners—Carson and Pierre.
Carson was her husband, and Pierre was Carson's friend. They were both doing poorly in this field.
Even though Rebecca asked about how well Matthew was doing, she'd already made assumptions about him. He was probably not as bad as Carson but still not great.
Meanwhile, her simple question made Carson think about his perception of Matthew again.
As the president of the doctor's association, Francis boasted about making 300 thousand dollars a month at the hospital.
After that, he learned about Matthew's monthly income of 20 million dollars, and how he had saved Casper. He just straight-up dropped to his knees.
Matthew's medical skills were beyond just good. In Carson's view, he was a miracle doctor.
At first, Carson wasn't a fan of the title "miracle doctor" because he found it exaggerating. None of the doctors he had met deserved it.
But at this point, Carson had a change of heart. He finally found a person worthy to carry the title.
Carson was so excited to meet Matthew. When Rebecca asked how good Matthew was, he sounded all fired up as he raised his volume.
"He's a miracle doctor and the best I've ever seen. Even someone like Francis, a renowned professor, dropped to his knees before him."
Rebecca chuckled. "You're really laying it on thick to make him look good. How much does he earn a month compared to a professor? Is he even on the same level?
"Forget about it. Asking you is a waste of time. Let me ask him directly."
After saying that, Rebecca turned to Matthew. "How much do you make a month?"
Frowning, Matthew nonchalantly responded, "Two—"
Rebecca's eyes went wide open, looking at Matthew in shock. "Only two grand, huh? Is that all? How impressive can your medical skills be?"
Matthew clicked his tongue. He assumed Rebecca was merely a bossy woman, but he noticed something special about her. She came off as a fiery woman, but she was also a loving wife.
She came off quite strong in her words and actions, but it was all for Carson. Undoubtedly, she was much better than Tessa, Matthew's ex-wife.
